As of the time of writing (February 20th 2025), even the latest version of Magento (2.4.7-p4) only supports up to MariaDB 10.6, as per their documentation.

The vast majority of our servers run MariaDB 10.11 or above.

Some of our older servers run MariaDB 10.6, however new orders are not placed on those servers, and they will eventually be upgraded to MariaDB 10.11 or above.

What this means is that Magento is not likely to work correctly on our Shared Hosting platform. A VPS or Dedicated Server would be required, where you can install a version of MariaDB (or MySQL) of your choice.
