All services provided by Ethernet Servers Limited ("Ethernet Servers") are for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or presentation of any information, data, or material in violation of any applicable laws of England and Wales is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, copyrighted material, any material that we judge to be threatening, obscene, or defamatory, or material protected by trade secret or other legal rights. The subscriber agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Ethernet Servers from any claims resulting from the use of our services that causes damage to the subscriber or any other party.
Prohibited are sites that promote any illegal activity or present content that may be damaging to Ethernet Servers' servers, or any other server on the Internet. Links to such materials are also prohibited.
Examples of unacceptable content or activities include, but are not limited to
- Unsolicited Mail (Spamming) and/or Bulk Mailing
- Distributing illegal copies of copyrighted software or Warez
- Violations of copyrights, trademarks, or applicable laws
- Selling and distributing illegal contraband
- Hacking Tools and programs
- Escrow sites
- Investment sites
- AutoSurf sites
- Banking sites
- Lottery sites
- TOR exit nodes (Relays and Bridges are acceptable)
- Virtual currency / cryptocurrency (*coin) mining
Adult Content
Legal adult content is permitted, assuming that the material in question complies with the rest of our policies.
Backups
Shared Hosting
All accounts are backed up off-site, daily. There are 30 days of restore points available.
VPS Hosting
VPS Hosting does not include automatic backups. Customers are encouraged to set up their own backups or contact us to discuss optional backup solutions.
Regardless of any backups provided, maintaining your own local backups is always advisable.
Ethernet Servers will not be held responsible if a backup is unavailable, damaged, or incomplete.
Free Data Migration / Account Transfer
We offer a free data migration/transfer service for all Shared Hosting customers. You can ask us to migrate your data over from your old hosting provider at any time.

VPS Hosting
We block port 25 outgoing.
We block port 25 outgoing.
Dedicated Servers
We block port 25 outgoing as standard, but can open it upon request.
Additionally, we block TCP/UDP ports 17, 19, 1900 and UDP ports 53413, 11211
Unacceptable Storage Use (Shared Hosting)
Shared Hosting accounts may not be used for the following reasons:
- Bulk media sharing sites
- Backup storage (they should be downloaded to your computer, and deleted from the server)
Server Abuse
Any attempt to undermine or cause harm to a server or customer of Ethernet Servers is strictly prohibited.
Abuse Complaints & Terms of Service Violations
In the event of an abuse complaint or Terms of Service, an email will be sent to the primary email contact on file, with a response requested within 24 hours. Failure to reply within 24 hours will result in the associated service(s) being suspended until the account holder responds with a proposed remedy.
Billing
This section highlights how we handle the billing process. If you feel you will not be able to pay an invoice on time, or if you have any questions or concerns, please let us know, and we'll be more than happy to help you.
- Fourteen (14) days before your service is due, your invoice will be generated.
- Five (5) days before your service is due, you will receive an invoice reminder email.
- One (1) day after your service is due you will receive an overdue invoice email.
- Two (2) days after your service is due, it will be automatically suspended if no payment is made.
- Seven (7) days after your service is due, it will be automatically terminated if no payment is made.
Refunds
We offer a money back guarantee, with the window varying depending on the service, as defined below:
Shared Hosting: 60 days
VPS Hosting: 60 days
Dedicated Servers: 7 days
Domain Names: 3 days
Refunds are not applicable if there has been a violation of our Terms of Service.
One (1) refund is available per person, and for the first order only.
Account Security
We implement various security measures in our hosting infrastructure and customer portal to help prevent breaches. However, you are responsible for securing your own account by using strong passwords, trusted email providers, and so on. Customers will be notified via email of any global security issues affecting multiple customers.
Limitation of Liability
Ethernet Servers shall not be responsible for any claimed damages, including incidental and consequential damages, which may arise from Ethernet Servers' servers going off-line or being unavailable for any reason whatsoever. Furthermore, Ethernet Servers shall not be responsible for any claimed damages, including incidental or consequential damages, resulting from the corruption or deletion of any website from one of Ethernet Servers' servers. Our liability is limited to the cost of services paid, and does not cover indirect or consequential damages.
Violations
Violations of any of our policies should be referred to the abuse contact on our Contact Us page. All complaints will be investigated promptly. Serious or repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination. We will make every effort to contact you before taking such action.
Disclaimer
Ethernet Servers cannot be held liable for system downtime or data loss. We cannot be held liable for any estimated profits that a client might have earned if their site had remained online. Certain services provided by Ethernet Servers are resold. Thus, certain equipment, routing, software, and programming used by Ethernet Servers are not directly owned or written by Ethernet Servers. Moreover, Ethernet Servers holds no responsibility for the use of our clients' accounts. Failure to comply with these terms may result in suspension or termination of the affected account. We reserve the right to remove any account that violates our policies. In extreme cases, this may be done without prior notice. We will always strive to communicate with customers wherever possible.
Account Activation
By activating your account with Ethernet Servers, you agree to the above policies and disclaimer. Upon requesting activation of an account, you are required to accept everything covered in this document. If you sign up for an account and fail to comply with these terms, no refunds will be given.
Server Uptime Guarantee
We guarantee 100% uptime. Our network and servers are monitored 24/7 and are rarely offline except for scheduled maintenance or network outages that may be beyond our control. More information can be found in our Service Level Agreement.
